Workshops
Steve Crowe & Richard Silverman, Millington Hall Farm: Chicken - From Whole Bird to Fire
Where:
Cookery School - Inner Bailey
When:
Working alongside Steve and Rich from Millington Hall Farm Cookery School, you’ll prepare Alabama chicken with lemon and pickles, as well as a chicken supreme served with a silky vegetable purée, cavolo nero and Spanish breadcrumbs.
Get hands-on with a whole chicken and learn how to break it down into useful portions before turning it into two completely different dishes, all cooked over fire.
This is much more than a one-dish cookery class.
You’ll learn the basics of chicken butchery, how to get the most from the whole bird, and how to prepare the elements that turn great meat into a complete plate.
From knife skills and preparation to cooking over live fire and bringing everything together on the plate, you’ll be involved throughout.
A hands-on workshop designed to give you practical skills you can take home, plenty of fire-cooking inspiration — and, of course, the chance to eat the dishes you’ve created.
These Workshops take place on:
Friday - 12:40am
Saturday - 2:50pm
Sunday - 3pm
and each one lasts for 50mins
Tickets are limited, so be sure to book early to secure your spot.
NB A ticket to enter Ludlow Food Festival will need to be purchased alongside this to gain access to the Festival and workshop.
