The guide to The FESTIVAL

Discover Ludlow Food and Drink Festival

Here's where you'll find that all-important information about Dogs, Accessibility, Baby changing facilities, Shopping Crèche and Toilets.

Accessibilitly

Ludlow Castle is a medieval outdoor ruin and there will be some areas of the Castle that are inaccessable to wheelchairs, push chairs or for people with mobility issues. For more information on accessibility at the Festival visit Ludlow Castle's website or call the Festival's office where we can provide further information.

Most other venues in Ludlow are suitable for wheelchair and mobility scooters access. Some shops have entrance steps but assistance is readily available.

Wheelchair hire - we do have a limited number of light use wheelchairs that can be hired over the weekend with a £30 deposit left until their return.

Disabled toilets - can be found at the car park off Castle Square, and in the Castle during the Food and Drink Festival.

Blue Badge parking - as well as local on-street Blue Badge parking, there will be dedicated Festival Blue Badge parking available at:

Ludlow Rugby Club
The Linney, Ludlow, SY8 1EE
Parking open Friday, Saturday & Sunday
£5 CASH ONLY - all proceeds going to this community club

There will be a shuttle minibus service up to the Castle daily. Times will be announced in due course.

If you have special needs and require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to do what we can to help.

Dogs
Well-behaved dogs, on a lead, are allowed in the Castle grounds...But NOT in any marquee, under marquee cover or anywhere where food preparation is taking place (except guide dogs) - this includes most of the areas where the food and drink exhibtors are located, and where the demonstrations take place. Please keep this in mind when planning your day.

Dog Crèche: there will be a dog crèche inside the Castle operating over the weekend. Please note: this is a limited service run on a "first come, first served" basis. Donations will be asked for at the crèche - it is operated by the charity Dog's Trust and all donations will go directly to them.  You can find out more about the charity here: www.dogstrust.org.uk

Clean, well-behaved dogs may be allowed on the Park & Ride buses at the discretion of the driver.

Shopping Crèche

Shop ‘n Drop…why not leave your purchases at the Festival's charity-run shopping crèche (located at the entrance/exit of the Festival in the Castle grounds) and pick them up later!

Toilets

Toilets + Disabled toilet facilities can be found at the car park off Castle Square, and in the Castle during the Food Festival

Baby changing & feeding facilities

There are baby changing and feeding facilities available within the festival; these are based within small marquees and contain a table and chairs for your use. There is also a small amount of disposable changing mats and wipes available for your use, if needed, along with sanitizing gel.
