Workshops
Steve Crowe & Richard Silverman, Millington Hall Farm: Beef - Bavette, Fire & Flavour
Where:
Cookery School - Inner Bailey
When:
Steve and Rich from Millington Hall Farm will show you how to take a whole bavette and turn it into a complete fire-cooked feast in this hands-on beef workshop.
Starting with the basics of breaking down and preparing the cut, you’ll learn how to get the best from bavette before cooking it over live fire. But the focus doesn’t stop with the steak — you’ll also prepare the accompaniments that make the meal.
You’ll make your own fresh chimichurri, prepare homemade yoghurt flatbreads, and create a dish combining fire-cooked bavette with blue cheese and peppery watercress.
This is a workshop built around the whole process of cooking great food over fire. You’ll learn practical butchery skills, how to prepare and portion a larger cut of beef, how to make sauces and sides from scratch, and how to bring everything together into a dish that is full of flavour.
Come ready to get involved, get your hands dirty and learn how to turn a great piece of beef into an unforgettable fire-cooked meal. This is the ultimate steak masterclass!
