Today, at Lebnani, Jad brings that same energy to the table: big flavours, live-fire cooking, incredible aromas and food that is made to be shared.

The restaurant has been awarded two AA Rosettes, with Jay Rayner praising its “gloriously zingy Lebanese flavours.”

Jad has cooked at Meatopia, Taste of London, BBC Gardeners’ World Live, Ember Fire Festival, Ideal Home Show Glasgow, and Taste of Hong Kong, as well as appearing on BBC MasterChef and judging Celebrity MasterChef UK. His work has also featured in The Times, The Guardian, The Observer and the Financial Times.

Jad brings something a little different to the line-up. He loves cooking in front of people and sharing Lebanese food, whether that’s making his famous kafta, cooking over fire, or simply talking about the food and where it comes from.

In today's demonstrations Jad will be cooking a delicious 'Chicken Shawarma Wrap' in the Food Theatre at 2.30pm,

and in the morning he will be dishing up a 'Lamb Arayes' on the Fire Stage, at 11.30am.

 

In Lebnani, celebrated chef Jad Youssef invites readers to experience the warmth, generosity and depth of Lebanese food through authentic recipes passed down through generations of his family.

In this, his debut book, Jad returns to the recipes and stories that shaped his life in Beirut and beyond and celebrates Lebanese cooking as it is truly lived and eaten.
