Frankie Dunn - From Shropshire to Masterchef, and Beyond
Where:
Castle Garden Stage - Castle Gardens
When:
In 2026, I was one of 48 home cooks chosen from over 12000 applicants to appear on MasterChef UK. From those 12000 people, I finished in the final 6!
What started as a bit of fun soon became much more than that, and every time I made it through a round, my confidence and determination grew.
When my MasterChef journey came to an end, I knew that this was just the beginning for me.
I wanted to use my passion and skill to bring people together over global flavours, new experiences and a shared love of food.
I'm not a nutritionist or dietician, but I'm fascinated by how food can affect your hormones, mental health and general wellbeing.
Alongside food, my other passion is travel, and I've had the privilege of visiting Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Canada, Jordan, Hong Kong, Egypt and most of western Europe.
My husband Rob and I spent over two years living in Johannesburg and we were lucky enough to travel extensively around the beautiful country of South Africa.
We sampled local food, soaked up the culture, went on endless safaris and explored the incredible wine regions.
We are now happily settled in Cheshire and enjoy adventurous family holidays with our two children.
