About Chapters:

Owned and run by Charmaine and her husband Mark, the restaurant’s seasonal menu highlights the fantastic produce available from the local area.

Pickles, ferments, salt cures and purees are some of the many techniques they use to capture the seasons and the team love to incorporate preserved summer ingredients into winter menus.

The restaurant’s kitchen garden is located within a walled garden 8 miles away. A space managed in a way that puts soil health first ~ working with regenerative methods the no dig, chemical free garden aims to improve the biodiversity of the area while growing interesting vegetables, herbs, fruits & edible flowers.

“The MICHELIN Green Star is an annual award which highlights restaurants at the forefront of the industry when it comes to their sustainable practices”

From foraging or growing their own ingredients to the zero waste aims running through the kitchen, thinking green is behind all of Chapters’ decision making. At Chapters, they source very carefully and research all their suppliers; even personally visiting farms before placing orders. They consider what cleaning products are used and take care when choosing which charities to support. All aspects of the business have the potential to negatively affect our planet and Chapters ensure they do their utmost to reduce their impact.

Chapters was first awarded a Michelin Green Star for Sustainable Gastronomy in 2022 and they are proud to have maintained it for 4 years running.
