When:

'Made the Shropshire Way' - Slow Food Workshop

Chef Andy Thomas, aka Mr T, will be inviting us to join him in the Beacon Rooms as he walks the Shropshire Way, selecting ingredients along the route. We start by deconstructing the elements of his renowned pies, which feature ingredients from within 10 miles of his kitchens, slap bang in the middle of the Shropshire Hills. You will literally eat the view from his prep room window, hear the tales of his sourcing from local farmers, pickers and growers. Andy has been in some of the best kitchens around the Marches for long enough to know almost everyone that’s anyone, accessing top-notch ingredients that allow him to create big flavours, classic combinations and more. You will taste a number of elements of pie and pie ingredients in this workshop and be thoroughly entertained.

These tasting workshops are led by expert producers or chefs, touching on Slow Food principles, hear their story illustrated by food and drink. They all take place inside Ludlow Castle's Beacon Room which you enter via the Castle Garden area within Food Festival hours, or the Castle side door (right of main Castle entrance- look for the flag) for any out of hours workshops and the Slow Food Feast. All workshops last about an hour.
