Inside Ludlow Castle with more than 180 local food and drink producers and suppliers: real food, ale, cider, perry, wine and more from the Marches, with samples and tastings.
All courses are aimed at Beginner to Intermediate photographers, bloggers, food producers and anyone interested in improving their food photography.
The workshops will be held in the beautiful surroundings of Dinham Weir House - a short walk from Ludlow Castle. Full information about the location will be sent out to attendees in advance.
Please note: this event is being run independently of the Food Festival, so you do not need a Festival ticket to take part in the workshops.

A discussion into the aspects of harnessing natural light for food photography in any situation. We’ll dive into how to control light for “light and airy” as well as “dark and moody” styling, and learn the tips and tricks used to overcome common challenges.
11.30 - 12.45:
Styling your food and Storytelling in pictures - lead by Karen HB
We will examine ways to style your food and products. We will cover everything from surfaces and props to the principals of colour and composition. I will walk you through the process of setting up a shoot and we will delve into the art of storytelling and the different ways you can bring the story of your food to life.
2.00 - 3.15:
Tips and tricks for perfect food photos every time - lead by DL Acken
Have you ever had a gorgeous dish in front of you and tried to take a photo only to be disappointed by the results? Well, this workshop is for you! We will dive into the tips and tricks employed by the professionals to ensure your food photography levels up and that you’re happy with the photos you’re producing.
3.30 - 4.45 Food and Instagram - how to get the best out of your smart phone - lead by Karen HB
This workshop is all about upping your game on Instagram. We will focus on getting the best out of your smart phone to create appealing food pictures for Instagram. We will examine Instagram and it’s features, and we will look at editing your images and various complimentary apps that can help you plan and save you time.
