Ludlow Food Festival

The Original Festival for Food and Drink Lovers

Rob Swift

Where: Castle Inner Bailey

The Swift family began baking bread in 1863, when Hannah Swift created loaves for the people of Staffordshire. Now more than 150 years and six generations on, Rob continues that tradition by producing some of the most delicious and inventive breads you will find, alongside his love of teaching people to make bread from his unit in Ludlow, Shropshire and various Cookery Schools across the country.

In his first book 'Born and Bread' written to mark the family's 150th anniversary, he includes his easy-to-follow recipes for standard, savoury and sweet breads, and following a recent meeting with Royalty, HRH Duchess of Cornwall now has a copy. His second book is currently in fermentation!
