D W WALL & SON, Ludlow

D W Walls & Son Butchers in Ludlow was the original shop, the other one being in Craven Arms set up by Son Mike Wall in 1969. One of Shropshire’s best known family butchers, has been preparing and supplying high quality meat for over fifty years.

In 1952, D W Wall & Son was established by Dave and Jean Wall at 14 High Street Ludlow. Son Mike, became involved in the business from an early age, branching out on his own in 1969, relocating to Craven Arms with attached slaughterhouse  and retaining the family name
D W Wall & Son.

After working with Mike for thirty years Ian Ray took the position of Manager in the Ludlow Branch. But since Mikes retirement in 2003 the business has been taken over by Ian Ray - both shops are now run as separate businesses but still retain the same business name.

Selling quality produce, including home-made sausages, like they used to taste. In season you'll find game and fresh venison. All year round you can buy meat from rare breed animals we stock within a 25 mile radius

Darren Morgan is the fourth generation Master Butcher of his family. Established in 1896 in the idyllic village of Waters Upton. The shop is full of history and charm, Darren, his daughter Lauren and their team of Craft Butcher pride themselves on their knowledge and maintaining those time old traditions yet embracing innovation and moving forward with industry trends.

Darren selects all his own livestock from local auctions, ensuring he can provide his customers with the best Shropshire produce from Shropshire farmers.

Our Traditional Berkshire Pork Sausage - Heritage Berkshire Pork, outdoor reared in Shropshire. The Berkshire is a wonderful breed, easily recognised by its Black body and white legs. It produces sweet Pork and creamy Fat. Today, we accompany it with our own recipe of raw seasoning that Dad developed 30 years ago. We believe this Traditional Pork Sausage has the heritage of the breed and the blend of our Master Butcher.

Made and cooked by hand for the best taste possible: pork pies, meat pies, sausage rolls, pastys - complimenting a full butchers shop.
