Kwoklyn Wan: Chef, TV Presenter, Author

As a 3rd Generation Restaurateur and Chef, the call of the kitchen was always strong for Kwoklyn and the last 3 years have seen him sharing his passion for all things delicious; in written articles, interviews and appearances on BBC Radio Leicester,  demonstrations at food festivals and on TV; from January 2018 on ‘This Morning’ to his debut presenting role for the BBC 1 Inside Out documentary in September 2018 and a further appearance on ‘This Morning’ in February 2019.

His first book ‘Chinese Takeaway Cookbook’, was commissioned and published by Quadrille Publishing and released to an eager public in the UK on 24 January 2019. A further launch is set for the US, Australia and Netherlands in August. Kwoklyn’s book holds the key to cooking perfect Chinese Takeaway dishes as well as essential shopping tips and cooking tricks of the trade and has held the No.1 Bestseller spot in its category on Amazon since the launch. Having been launched as the face of men’s clothing for ‘John Banks Big & Tall Uk,’ Kwoklyn can regularly be seen wearing the latest fashions at events and on the road and as a strong advocate for the work of charitable organisations, he has also this year accepted the appointment of Ambassadorial roles to both the NSPCC and LAMP, a mental health support charity based in Leicestershire & Rutland, as well as pledging his ongoing support to the ‘Help Us Grieve’ charity, HUG.

As an avid vlogger, Kwoklyn plans to share his travels with followers of his website and YouTube channel ‘Kwoklyn Wan,’ taking them on his journeys to explore the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of different places and cuisines around the world.

Keen foodies can now also wow their friends and family or impress their colleagues by booking Kwoklyn to cater for their events and enjoy the wide range of Pan - Asian flavours.
